Facebook Messenger is getting a new simpler design

Facebook Messenger is getting a new simpler design:- With the motive of simplicity and speed to become more user-friendly, Facebook Messenger is planning to get a new look soon. The change was announced in August last year and now the TechCrunch reports revealed that change is going to roll over will begin next week.

Facebook Messenger is getting a new simpler design

According to the report of TechCrunch, the messenger app has removed chatbots and the Discover tab as part of a larger redesign process to remain simple and catch more eyeballs. The report said, “The changes are part of a larger Messenger redesign that reorients the People tab around Stories as Facebook continues to try to dominate the ephemeral social media format it copied from Snapchat.”

As per TechCrunch, Facebook is promoting a “People” section in the new design where people will see large squares showing the friends who were recently on Facebook or updated their Facebook Stories. There will also be a contact list organised to promote the most used contacts who are online which will be available next to the Stories tab.

A Facebook spokesperson told the daily that the new design will start rolling out soon, without the Discover Tab and a different People Tab. The TechCrunch reported, “The changes are part of a larger Messenger redesign that reorients the People tab around Stories as Facebook continues to try to dominate the ephemeral social media format it copied from Snapchat.”

Earlier, the tab also contained Facebook Instant Games, the company’s attempt to revive its once flourishing web-based gaming platform in a mobile setting. However, the instant Games will still exist in the main Facebook app, but they’re going to be removed in the Messenger app.

Not just the main app, the company is also tweaking Messenger Kids. In a bid to give parents more control over what their kids do on Facebook Messenger Kids, the parents will now be able to see more details about who their children are messaging with, whether they’re video calling them, and a history of anyone they’ve blocked in the app.
